Our Mission
Our nonprofit organization, Boerne Pride, is committed to promoting equality, acceptance, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Boerne, Texas, and its surrounding areas. Our purpose is to create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies through the provision of resources, education, and community outreach programs. We aim to build a strong and supportive network that empowers and uplifts members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Through our advocacy efforts, we strive to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals and promote greater understanding and acceptance of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
Our Board Members
I am Anna Boyer-Chadwick, and I am honored to be the Executive Director of Boerne Pride, a newly formed organization dedicated to creating safe spaces and advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights in our community. My wife and I have proudly called Boerne and its surrounding areas our home for almost a decade, and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. In addition, I have worked as a Student Services professional in higher education for more than 15 years.
I am deeply committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces where the voices of queer individuals are not only heard but also valued. My passion for providing platforms for these voices to be heard knows no bounds. As a member of the Queer community myself, I am a staunch advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and will always support and uplift this amazing community. Being part of Boerne Pride fills me with immense joy, and I am thrilled to collaborate with others to build a more inclusive and accepting community for everyone. I firmly believe that working together can create a space where all community members are seen, heard, and appreciated.

My name is Tara Leonard, and I am a former elementary school teacher from California. I have been a resident of Boerne for almost 17 years, along with my spouse and two sons. Presently, I serve as the Education Manager at The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, where I contribute to ensuring that all children have access to the arts. Driven by the personal connection of having a close family member in the LGBTQIA+ community, I am deeply passionate about supporting and advocating for their rights. My active efforts are aimed at fostering an inclusive and equitable society where everyone can live authentically, free from fear and judgment. I have attended all of Boerne Pride Walks, and being a part of this exceptional community is gratifying. I am honored to be a member of its leadership team.
My name is Michelle Rodriguez, and I am on the Leadership team for our community at Boerne Pride, Inc. My passion is creating and supporting open, life-affirming spaces for our LGBTQIA + people. I'm a homeschooling mama and an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame. As a local small business owner, I have seen just how vital support, safe spaces, and education are for healthy growth. I am honored to be here with Boerne Pride and our community as we continue to grow and keep moving forward.
I’m Laura Sackrider. My spouse and I recently moved to Boerne from Austin, and I am excited to serve on the Boerne Pride Executive Board. I continue to pursue my career in finance and accounting, but have always worked to support children and young adults who are forced to deal with cruel and unwarranted life challenges. I also strive to encourage these young people to celebrate who they are. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the intelligent and dedicated people at Boerne Pride who give me hope that someday the entire LGBTQIA+ community will be free to live their lives authentically and without fear of reprisal.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world where the LGBTQIA+ community is embraced and celebrated, where individuals can live their lives authentically, free from discrimination, and where they have access to safe spaces, resources, and support networks that empower them to thrive.
"The most important thing about our identities is that we are all unique, and out uniqueness should be celebrated, not discriminated against."
